Methodological premises for teaching simultaneous interpretation on the example of Applied Linguistics UMCS

Abstract


Simultaneous interpretation is among the most desired forms of oral translation used during international meetings. The theory and practice of the trade are exposed to constant changes. New theoretical research results are still surfacing along with the revised teaching and practice recommendations. This article addresses the question of simultaneous interpreting instruction based on the models adopted at the Department of Applied Linguistics, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
