Resolution as the new area of Bank Guarantee Fund

Abstract


The objective of the hereby study is to present the current status of work focused on the implementation of new solutions in bank resolution restructuring and its orderly arrangement in Poland and worldwide in the perspective of concepts prepared by the European Commission, as well as the new Bank Guarantee Fund tasks identification resulting from the suggested regulations. Bank resolution problems constitute an important part of bank sector regulations. This issue is one of the leading components of regulation oriented activities undertaken in response to the recent financial crisis in its EU and global dimension. Poland has not yet enforced any legislation referring to resolution regime, however, the underlying efforts are being carried out and have, so far, resulted in the new Act draft.
