Birgit Krehl works as Research Associate at the Chair of Slavic Literary and Cultural Studies (focus area: Polish Studies) at the University of Potsdam. 1988 Doctorate at the University of Leipzig (Bohemian Studies/General Literary Studies). Since 1994 at the University of Potsdam, initially working in Bohemian Studies teaching and research, since 2008 mainly in Polish Studies. Main research and teaching interests: Czech and Polish poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries, questions of verse theory and literary translation.
