Team Teaching – Co-teaching Experience
Abstract
The article presents the major underlying assumptions for the model of team teaching. It is one of the four co-teaching strategies next to supportive co-teaching, parallel co-teaching, and complementary co-teaching. Team teaching model is different from the others, because all co-teachers share an equal responsibility for planning, instruction of content, assessment and grade assignment. Co-teachers are viewed as equal by students. The author described this model and her experience with it. One important aspect of this co-teaching strategy are the condtitions to be met by teachers so that their collaboration culture help achieve the set goals, be conducive to self-development, facilitte learning from each other and building a culture of cooperation.
