Member of the Phraseological Commission and the Ethnolinguistic Commission of the International Committee of Slavists; member of the Linguistic Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (as well as its President in the years 2015–2019). Member of the Academy’s two sections: phraseological and ethnolinguistic, as well as member of the Board of its Slavic Committee. Wojciech Chlebda served for two terms on the Central Scientific Promotion Committee. In 2016 he was elected corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Learning; in 2019 he became member of the Polish Language Council of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is vice-President of the Scientific Council of the EUROJOS Project (Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences); he also sits on editorial boards of several journals, including Rocznik Slawistyczny, Slavia Orientalis, and Etnolingwistyka.
