Russia’s geopolitical pressure towards the West and its consequences for new Eastern Europe and European international order

Abstract

Trends the global system of international relations towards multipolarity opened a window of opportunity for Russia to regain the status of a world power, without which the Russians do not imagine the future of their country. The author shows the goals of Russia, which are aimed at the destruction of the existing World order.

A particular danger, as argue at the article, this revanchist Russia's policy is for the countries of the New Eastern Europe. Adding "New Eastern Europe", Russia could from this strategic position to continue its further geopolitical offensive to Central Europe and to impose its own normative force to Western Europe. The author also gives an estimate and forecast negative consequences of Russia's geopolitical offensive to the West for European security.
