Punkt przełomu. Hatra i relacje rzymsko-perskie za panowania Aleksandra Sewera i w pierwszych latach rządów Gordiana III
Streszczenie w języku polskim
Prawdopodobnie w 240 lub 241 r. Persowie zdobyli Hatrę, twierdzę, która była kluczem do panowania nad Północną Mezopotamią. Prawdopodobnie w latach trzydziestych III w. rzymskie siły stacjonowały w tej twierdzy. Obalenie partyjskiej dynastii Arszakidów przez Sassanidów dało cesarstwu możliwość umocnienia swojej pozycji na wschodzie. Cesarstwo jednak nie umiało wykorzystać okresu zamętu na wschód od swojej granicy dla wzmocnienia własnej pozycji. W tym tekście chcę się przyjrzeć okolicznościom, które sprawiły, że tak się stało.
