Zdzisław Noga – born 1961 in Dębica. Professor of the University of the National Education Commission of Krakow, whose scientifi c interests focus on the history of cities and the history of Cracow in the Old Polish period, historical cartography and Polish-German relations. Author of over 200 publications, co-editor of the 15-volume edition of Galicia on the Josephine topographic map 1779–1783, considered one of the greatest contemporary editorial undertakings. Publisher of historical atlases of Lesser Poland towns in the series Historical Atlas of Polish Towns, published under the auspices of the prestigious International Commission on the History of Towns. Editor of the publishing series „Biblioteka Krakowska” and „Kraków w dziejach Narodu”, co-editor of „Rocznik Krakowski”.
