Thomas Diette is a lecturer at the University of Lille (France). He is currently writing a thesis on the risky issues of the representation of religious beliefs in contemporary French-speaking literature. By focusing on a wide variety of authors, including Houellebecq, Khadra, Michon and Carrère, his project is to conduct a multidisciplinary research on the place of religions at a time when they are making a strong comeback in the society and in the literary field.
