Laura Ascone earned a Ph.D in Linguistics at Université de Cergy-Pontoise. Her thesis is on the rhetorical strategies adopted in both jihadist propaganda and counter-narrative. She is currently a post-doctoral researcher at Université de Lorraine, where she studies the hate speech against migrants on the Internet. Her researches focus on computer-mediated communication, on the expression of emotions and on the jihadist radicalisation process. (laura.ascone@univ-lorraine.fr)
