Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

We publish texts in English. If an article is submitted in Polish, the author(s) are obliged to translate it into English within two weeks of receiving the editors' decision to accept the article for publication.

We would like to inform that the submitted articles which do not comply with the author's guidelines of Lublin Pedagogical Journal will not be processed.

The journal does not charge any payment for the publication of the text. This means that the author does not have to pay any costs for any of the stages of the publishing process from submission of the manuscript to publication of his/her text.

The article’s text should be sent via the editorial journal platform available at http://journals.umcs.pl/

PREPARING TITLE PAGE:

The title page attachment can be downloaded here. The title page consists of the following data:

Article title – both in Polish and English; first name and last name of each author, indicating corresponding author; ORCID; names of institutions to which is author affiliated; e-mail addresses; the statement concerning no conflicts of interest to disclose by Author/authors according to the following formula: Author/authors declare no conflicts of interests.
Tittle page should be submitted as single file.

PREPARING PAPER:

The submitted original research in Polish article should include the following sections: Title in Polish, abstract in Polish, keywords in Polish, title in English, abstract in English, keywords in English, text.

The submitted original research in English article should include the following sections: Title in English, abstract in English, keywords in English, title in Polish, abstract in Polish, keywords in Polish, text.

ABSTRACT

The abstract in Polish and English should be prepared in accordance with the following guidelines:

a) An abstract of an original research article should contain specific sections and headings that are printed in bold: Introduction, Research Aim, Research Method, Results, Conclusion.

b) In case of the research review articles, an abstract should include: Introduction, Research Aim, Evidence-based Facts, Summary.

c) An abstract of no more than 250 words (including headings) should be composed by the author. It is not recommended to use abbreviations (if necessary, they should be defined when mentioned for the first time) and references in the text of an abstract.

d) No more than 6 key words concerning the article’s topic,  should directly follow the abstract.

PAPER:

Text formatting and word limits

The text length, including spacing, should be 35.000 characters (References must be excluded from the word count). The text should be adjusted to A4 document format (30 lines per page, 60 characters in a row); 2,5 cm margins; 1,5 interline; Times New Roman, 12-pt. type of text.

Structure

The submitted original research article should include the following sections: Introduction, Research Aim and Question, Research Method and Sample Characteristics, Statistical Data Analysis Procedure, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Study Limitations, References.

The submitted research review article should include the following sections: Introduction, Research Aim and Question, Evidence-based Review, Summary, Conclusion, References.

Preparing a manuscript in APA style

Tables and figures

Tables and figures should be used sparingly to demonstrate the in dispensible research data, it is not allowed to use them either for repeating or coping any article’s content. The tables should be numbered with subsequent Arabic numerals, the table’s title should be printed in italic, and to print both the word “table” and its number normal/regular font should be used. The title should be placed above the table and it should be typed in another row below the word “table” and its number. The lines forming the table should be limited to the horizontal lines separating the table column headings from the results presented and the line at the bottom of the table.

Tables and figures should be composed according to the required template.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The text complies with all requirements described as Author Guidelines that are available in the folder hyperlink “About”. After an initial checking process involving the members of Editorial Board is terminated, the text may be returned to the author, unless the criteria for submission are fully met.

  2. The text which is submitted to Lublin Pedagogical Journal neither may be published before  nor is considered for publication elsewhere.
  3. The submitted text is free from inappropriate publishing practices: ghostwriting, guest-authorship and conflict of interests.

  4. The author is aware of the current peer review process that is approved by the journal.

  5. In case of submitting a co-authored work, the author should fill in the form known as authorship statement. The author is obliged to notify of the percentage/percentages of authorship contributions concerning the co-author/co-authors of the submitted article.
  6. All co-authors are familiarized with the article’s content and they approve of publishing the text. The completed form (authorship statement) should be uploaded as an additional file along with an article.
