Author Guidelines
The journal "Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie-Skłodowska, sectio K - Politologia" publishes articles in Polish or Congress languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian). The submitted papers should be original, never before published and not submitted for printing in another publishing house.
Submittion of the paper
Articles are submitted only through the website: journals.umcs.pl/k.
The submitted papers have to comply with the following requirements:
1) Text file (required) - contains full text with graphic materials (figures and tables
2) Additional files:
- percentage contribution statement (a template statement is available in the system, under the first step of the process of submitting text for publication)
- File 1: Tables
- File 2: Figure 1
- File 3: Figure 2, etc.
Text formatting
The article should not exceed 15-20 pages, including a summary, tables, figures and bibliography. Text format: MS Word, Times New Roman 12-point font size; 1.5 line spacing; 1.25 cm paragraphs indents; no word hyphenation; justified; 2.5 cm margins.

The authors and affiliation - name(s) and surname(s), ORCID and affiliation of each of the authors should be provided.

Title – the title should be concise.
Abstract - abstract should include the identification of the research object and research hypotheses/questions, research methods, results and main conclusions. The text read in isolation from the rest of the work should inform about its content. Both language versions should be the equivalent.
Keywords - 3–5 keywords, referring to the article subject, should be provided, both in English and Polish.
Introduction – The introduction should present the current state of knowledge on the issues presented in the text based on a review of national and international literature. The choice of the research topic should be justified, and then a clear goal of the work and research hypotheses and questions should be presented.
Main text – the main text should be divided into several parts.
Conclusion - conclusions must clearly present the results of the research and refer to the objectives formulated in the introduction of the article.
Citation in text
The literature should be quoted by referring to the author's surname, year of publication and page number e.g. [Heywood 2008: 30-31].
Footnotes – Explanations and additional discourse should be included in the footnotes.
Tables - Tables have to be numbered in the order in which they appear in the article, and provided with the title (at the top) and source (at the bottom). Tables should be sent in a separate file (as additional files), saved as Word files or Excel spreadsheets.
Figures - The figures must be numbered according to the order in which they appear in the text and prepared in the appropriate resolution (minimum 300 DPI colour and 600 DPI grey scale). The signature and source must be placed at the bottom. Each figure should be sent in a separate file (as an additional file) in TIF, JPG, BMP or PNG format.
Bibliography
The bibliography contains an alphabetical list of all sources cited by the author in the text.
